I loved the shoe the first time I saw it and just had to have a pair. They are very comfortable and are great for all the walking I do at work. It feels like I'm walking on air.

Normally there is nothing wrong with my feet but I prefer flats and comfort and simply do not wear heels. Then I broke my big toe. It hurt to look at my foot much less try to put on shoes or sneakers. Going barefoot to work for a month was not an option.
Back in November 2009 I ordered the Alegria Fuchsia Crinkle Classic because the fuchsia was clearanced price (now discontinued). A black, navy or brown shoe would have made more sense but they were not half off or as much fun. No sense paying full price for a shoe I would need for only 6 weeks right!
My toe has long since healed and a year later I'm still wearing my bright, hot pink Alegria Classic (ok, so alegria calls them fuscia). Depending upon what color outfit I have on, the shoe also looks red.
This is not a subtle shoe. Talking about an attention getter. I get all kinds of comments. People either love or hate the look of the shoe-- or as my oh so stylish teen asked, "did you have to buy the ugliest shoe ever made?" I fall in the category of loves the look of the shoe.
Pros: Bright funky color. Sometimes I just look at my feet and smile. My normal shoe length, an 8.5 was the correct size to buy in this shoe. The shoe was comfortable with no breaking in even with a broken toe. I did have to learn to walk in the shoe. The shoes molded to my feet and became even more comfortable the more I wore them. A year later the shoes are still shiny and scuff free. They look new.
Cons: The stitching came undone on the side by the buckle after 3 months but has not gotten any worse.
The Alegria shoe does not come in a narrow width. The Alegria B width is roomier than most B width shoes. The shoe is much, much to wide for me, even with a broken toe. I wear an 8 or 8.5 narrow. A "B" width is always too wide and the Alegria is much wider than a typical B width.
I have to walk and turn around carefully or I turn my ankle because the shoes are too wide. My feet slip freely to the left or right in the shoes. Wearing socks helps but does not solve the basic problem that the shoes are too wide. I've had a couple of spills off the side of the shoe where I was lucky not to sprain my ankle.
Still I wear the shoes because they are the most comfortable, stay on your feet all day shoes I own. If Alegria offered a narrow width I would own more than one pair.

I LOVE my black patent Alegria clogs. I have a class of 15 (3 and 4 year olds) and I can keep up with them all day in these shoes...(that is saying something for a 57 year old). They make my body feel good and I wore them practically every day for an entire school year. I also had one other pair but I keep going back to my black patent pair. I can't say enough good things about these AWESOME shoes:)

what an unbelievable shoe Alegria manufactures! Funny thiing...for me it started out with just one pair, that's all it takes (11 pair 10 months later!). I have never had more positive comments on any shoes I've ever owned & they truly are as comfortable as they look ;-)

I’m thirty and have suffered with arthritis in my hands and feet since I was 10 years old. Alegria's have saved my life!! I can walk around pain free all day long, and in style.:) I have the classic clog in (white tattoo, patent black, croco. purple), and the leopard Mary Jane and the vine boots in cognac and the new Porto sandal in Pewter!!! Love them, can't live without them. I can’t wait to see new colors and styles. Thank you Alegria:)
